Synonym, Metaphors, Frozen Adventures

In writing we had to do work on similes and metaphors, including showing our definition of it, and making examples of it. Then we had to create a story of a reporter recounting him going to a cold climate, and writing about it, for it to go in a local magazine. The first one is the synonym and metaphor work, the second one is my Frozen Adventures story. Enjoy!

Dialogue Examples

In Literacy we have been taking small writing workshops, and one of them is Dialogue. Dialogue is basically speech, in our writing. We had to create an example of a piece of writing, that was mostly dialogue, about Jay and Chris, siblings, who are planning a trip to somewhere. Hope you enjoy this, and leave some constructive feedback.
"So a trip for two adults, to Honolulu, for 61 nights, and 62 days.”
The Travel agent says politely.
“That is corrrrrrrecttt sirrrrr.”
Javvonne, exclaims loudly. Chris shushes his brother.
“Staying at Pearl Harbour Apartments.”
The Travel Agent confirms.
“Yesss Sirrr----iiieeee”
Chris says as the travel agent jots everything down onto the computer. Her hands dancing across the keyboard.
“Well, your trip has been confirmed, and comes to a total of fifty thousand dollars.”
Jay swipes his credit card across the handheld machine and waited patiently for the ‘successful’ signal. As it simulated on the screen they stood up and cheered. The travel agent shook their hands and handed them the tickets, as they get printed out.
“Congrats! Enjoy your trip to Honolulu!”
They snatch them from her, and both yell in sync,
“YAHOO!”
